GC Technical Education Center

The 91,000 sq. ft. Technical Education Center (or “TEC” for short) houses the Gillette College technical programs — Mining, Machine Tool, Diesel, Welding, Industrial Electricity, Industrial Technology, and Engineering.

State-of-the-art facility, hands-on learning

TEC is an integral part of training the workforce of today and tomorrow. It incorporates a high-bay diesel lab with bridge and jib cranes, a welding lab, three industrial electronics labs, a high-voltage lab, a “sandbox” for vehicle and safety training, and a manual and computerized machine tool shop. Students and local industry workers are able to learn their trades using commercial standard equipment.

Training today’s workforce

The cutting-edge technology and space afforded by TEC allows Gillette College to partner with local industry for hands-on trainings and MSHA/OSHA safety updates.
